Tehran reports attacking a US naval base in Manama, as the country executed operations across the region in response for a "massive" and ongoing assault against it by the United States and Israeli forces.

Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an vicinity close to the command center of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Manama, Bahrain. The extent of any destruction is uncertain and the US has not commented.

Regional Interceptions

Elsewhere across the region, the UAE, the State of Qatar and Kuwait - which all house American military installations - said they have engaged and destroyed incoming projectiles in their airspace.

In Doha, Qatar's defence ministry said it had successfully engaged a number of projectiles apparently targeting the al-Udeid air base, the largest American base in the region.

IRGC Statement

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard declared it was striking American facilities and interests as part of operation "Truthful Promise 4", in retaliation for the strikes on Iran initiated by the United States and its ally Israel on Saturday.

That initial attack - executed at around 06:15 GMT - has so far struck areas associated with the Tehran's leadership, with President Trump calling on the Iranian people to revolt against the leadership.

Additional Developments

In the State of Israel, sirens were heard across the country after the Israel Defense Forces reported it had identified an incoming Iranian missile barrage.

The defence ministry of the UAE said in a statement that the country has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".

"UAE air defence systems responded to the projectiles with notable success and successfully intercepted a series of missiles," the statement continued.

Officials reported missile fragments landed in a neighborhood in the capital, causing some material damage and fatalities.

The United States Air Force is stationed at Al Dhafra Air Base, to the south of Abu Dhabi, along with the Emirati Air Force.
