Large-scale Moscow's Strikes Cut Power Throughout Ukraine's Capital

Energy infrastructure under attack in the region
The country's power facilities have come under increased strikes in recent weeks

Overnight, Moscow's aerial assaults have caused electricity outages in multiple districts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were injured while local people in the city's east were left without electricity and dealt with disruption to water systems, per reports from municipal leaders.

Meanwhile, a minor was fatally injured in a separate aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southeastern part, as reported by area administrators.

Moscow has escalated assaults on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while the country's government has requested "substantial measures" from allies to apply pressure on Moscow.

"The necessity is not symbolic gestures but firm measures - from the America, the EU and the G7 - in providing protection systems and implementing penalties," he wrote in a public message.

Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and over thirty rockets struck Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such attacks as "strategic and deliberate" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as the weather cools.

Government representatives said Russia was "launching a major assault" and maintenance teams were laboring to restore power.

A wave of strikes struck energy infrastructure and apartment buildings in the capital.

Multiple people wounded in the strikes on the capital have been transported for medical care, per statements from municipal representatives.

Regional authorities said the metropolitan region endured intense attacks overnight. A minor was killed and several individuals were hurt.

The assaults succeed periods of bombing campaigns in the territory, parts of which remain under the control of Russian forces.

The whole nation is under warning for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are tougher to identify.

Authorities told the media that Moscow was intentionally trying to destroy the national power system, with strikes already impacting energy systems.

Authorities confirmed technical personnel and authorities were bracing for further attacks.
