In late 2018, Steve Bannon, previously Donald Trump's chief strategist, was in the UK to deliver a speech at the Oxford Union.

The speech was disrupted by numerous demonstrators, and Bannon, scheduled to board a flight that evening, told Jeffrey Epstein in an message: "Activists delayed speech I doubt I can make the plane we are heading to heathrow".

Epstein responded: "That. Is a Gulf Air departing at 9:50 with a layover in Bahrain". Bannon replied: "U r an excellent helper".

These messages were published on Wednesday together with over 20,000 documents from the estate of Epstein, the late convicted sex offender.

The release by the Congressional committee includes an text conversation where Bannon's identity is redacted. Media outlets managed to establish his involvement by cross-referencing the timeline, occurrences, and places mentioned.

For instance, Epstein talks about chartering a plane from Scotland for the redacted user in the messages, and commends their "Oxford speech". Bannon participated in the News Xchange conference on 14 November, and delivered the speech at the Oxford two days later.

Bannon, who is not accused of any wrongdoing, declined to comment on the request for comment.

Epstein's Assurance to Bannon

Bannon was one of Trump's key advisers in the lead-up to the 2016 election and during the initial phase of his presidency, but resigned from the administration in 2017.

He has acknowledged he was producing a film about Epstein prior to his death and allegedly has around 15 hours of recordings. In a recording of his show recently, he said: "We're going to publish the series, the multi-part documentary, in the coming year - at the start of next year."

But the newly released materials suggest Bannon's connection with Epstein went further than documenting his life, with the convicted paedophile occasionally appearing to serve like a personal assistant.

A short time before the exchange in which Epstein appeared to have arranged a private plane for Bannon, Epstein said: "what's it like to have the most highly paid travel agent in the world ".

Bannon thanked him: "You are pretty good asst", to which Epstein responded "Therapies. Not Included".

Discussing a visit to "AD" in another message, Epstein assured Bannon: "I'll make sure you're well looked after."

UK Politics Discussed in Exchanges

The released messages also reveal Bannon and Epstein discussing British political matters in that year.

On the day of his speech at the Oxford, Bannon texted Epstein: "I've gotten pulled into the EU exit issue this morning with Nigel, Boris and Mogg."

Then, in what seems like a allusion to the UK prime minister, the embattled British leader at the period, he added: "They are attempting to move on. May today / tomorrow…"

Epstein suggested Bannon: "In my view staying as long as you can in the UK. Ideal- so people get the dedication of your follow-up."

Soon after, Epstein inquired: "Will Theresa May remain in power". Bannon replied: "I don't see how BUT the guys over here have little courage" and noted "Boris ; Michael Gove; Jacob Rees-Mogg; David Davis - somebody has to step up".

May was eventually toppled in 2019 after withstanding multiple attempts of lack of support in late 2018.

A representative for the political party informed media: "Farage has never been in a gathering with Steve Bannon, Jacob Rees Mogg and Johnson." And there is no evidence that encounter occurred.

The Congress will vote next week on whether the justice department should release all its records concerning its probe into Epstein, who passed away in jail in that year.

Interest in Epstein's relationships with influential individuals was reignited recently after the publication of over 20,000 documents from his estate.

Some of those mentioned Trump, who has consistently denied any impropriety. The leader was a acquaintance of Epstein's for years, but claims they parted ways in the early 2000s, two years prior to Epstein was first arrested.
