Tottenham Hotspur fans who booed keeper Vicario were told afterwards "they can't be true Spurs supporters" by manager Frank.

Spurs let in two goals in the opening six minutes to fall 2-1 to their opponents, registering their 10th Premier League home loss of 2025.

However the main talking point was Fulham's second goal when Vicario gave away the ball far outside his area.

The goalkeeper ventured out to deal with a long ball and carried the ball towards the touchline.

However, rather than booting it into touch, the Italian spun and tried to clear, but slipped as the ball skimmed off Wilson and was controlled by King.

King laid the ball off to Wales midfielder Wilson, who curled a shot into the net from the sideline measured at thirty-six point six yards.

Seconds later when the ball came to the keeper once more, a number of Tottenham fans booed him.

Spurs were jeered off at the interval, with the club 2-0 behind, and again at full-time.

A particular of those jeering sessions really angered Frank.

"I heard a few of our supporters reportedly jeered the incident and jeered following, which, in my view is totally unjustifiable," the Dane commented about the fans' response to his shot-stopper.

"[They] cannot be true Spurs supporters that do that. Fair enough jeering following the match, fine, but when we are in play, we are backing each other, we are behind one another moving ahead."

Tete had handed the visitors a fourth-minute advantage prior to Harry Wilson's strike – with Mohammed Kudus scoring for Tottenham in an better second period showing.

Former Premier League goalkeeper Hart remarked that the next goal was "completely preventable".

"I certainly understand the fans' disappointment," the ex-keeper continued. "I know the part Vicario is performing. He's a excellent squad member, he is a true figure in the locker room but in the end you are going to be judged by your decisions.

"The keeper was deeply implicated in what ended up to be the winning score."

'It's Part of Football, I'm a Big Man'

"The second goal was a error of my own, I accept responsibility for that," he commented.

The match was their tenth home defeat of the year in the league, a shared club record matching 1994 and two thousand and three.

They still have home fixtures against Frank's former club the Bees and title holders Liverpool to play prior to the close of the season.

Only one of those wins have occurred after the manager replaced his predecessor in the off-season.

"If you are behind 2-0 following the opening, there is a huge challenge to climb," said the boss.

"During in a bad spell, everything seems to go against you as well – the opening was a deflected shot, the next is a error from Vic.

"This result puts us in a position where we have lost another match. Every game has a single narrative, today we were defeated in the early stages.
