Ukrainian authorities have declared the commencement of mass production for a new domestically developed interceptor drone to strengthen its air defences. The first three producers have begun production, with an additional eleven preparing to set up production lines, Ukrainian military officials announced this past Friday.

Advanced 'Octopus' System Tested in Battlefield Situations

These UAVs utilize a nationally created technology called “Octopus” engineered to neutralize Shahed drones. This technology underwent testing in combat and proved successful “at night, under jamming and flying low,” the ministry confirmed. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy established a target of manufacturing as many as 1,000 defensive drones daily.

Latest Assault on Kyiv Described as Deliberate

Moscow's maritime terminal of Novorossiysk temporarily suspended crude shipments this past Friday – representing 2% of worldwide oil production – after a Ukrainian missile and drone attack. Military commanders in Kyiv said its forces had fired Neptune cruise missiles and used multiple kinds of attack UAVs in the assault against Novorossiysk “as part of efforts to diminish the strategic capabilities of the invading force.”
